The 1st single from POES, the much anticipated 2nd album from Amsterdam’s
Rednose Distrikt features vocals by Melodee (La Melodia) and remixes by DOMU (with his trademark 'bad boy' sound)
The 21 track ‘masterpiece’ album can be seen as a kind of compilation of Rednose
over the last four years. Each track reflects the Rednose vibe and and is filled with
true collaborations where the guests were given real creative freedom.
Best Deejay has been selected as the first banger from POES cause it is a true
reflection of the Rednose Distrikt state of mind – simple ruff and rugged and those
Rednose beats back it up everytime.
As someone always up in the clubs as top MC and artist La Melodia (with I.N.T),
Melodee found herself checking out the groupies in the clubs checking out the DJ’s
which then inspired the super tight and dirtee lyrics for this beat.
Now don’t you be blamin’ Melodee who innocently exclaims ‘the beat made me do it!’
Nor Domu who says ‘the vocal was dirty … but I like dirty !!
